The tooth is fully numbed and isolated for a clean, gentle environment.

We remove inflamed/infected tissue and disinfect the root canals. When appropriate, we may use the GentleWave® System to activate cleaning solutions so they reach complex spaces.

The canals are sealed with a biocompatible material and a temporary filling is placed. Your general dentist usually completes the final crown.
A root canal treats inflammation or infection inside the tooth so you can keep chewing comfortably. After numbing the tooth, we isolate it, create a small opening, and clean/disinfect the canals. When appropriate, we use 3D CBCT imaging to visualize complex anatomy that regular X-rays can miss and plan treatment confidently.
Most patients are surprised at how comfortable a root canal feels. We fully numb the tooth, and you’ll mostly feel light pressure. Afterward, some mild soreness for 1–2 days is common and can usually be managed with over-the-counter pain relievers.
Most cases are completed in about one to two hours. Teeth with complex roots or previous treatment may take longer or require a second appointment.
We use 3D CBCT imaging for cases to allow us give you the best possible diagnosis. It lets us see tiny details that standard X-rays can miss, so we can treat your tooth more precisely and reduce surprises.
